Composer
“As a composer, I'm fascinated by accents and the question of where I come from. My music blends Irish and Polish folk elements, reflecting my sense of identity.
Growing up in the Polish community in Northern Ireland, identity and tribalism were part of daily life. Living in Newry while spending summers in Poland, I often struggled with the idea of where I belonged. Now in Oxford, I carry accents from everywhere I've lived, shifting between them like a chameleon. This fluidity of identity is what I strive to express in my music.”
Bart has recently premiered his new musical “Have you met Stan?” to a great reception from the audience and reviewers. He is currently raising funds to develop this project further. In addition, this year, Bart has written music for short films, and podcasts, and has made arrangements for various vocal groups.
Bart has composed choral works for several choirs and is experienced at scoring for theatre productions and smaller-scale projects.
Bart’s compositions have been performed by St Canice’s Cathedral Choir and Exeter College Choir on several occasions.
